This is disturbing. As of now, the rest of the world sees the U.S. to be as dangerous as Iran and North Korea to world peace. Even 60% of Britons see that the Iraq war has made the world more dangerous. (The following is the perception that people of other countries have of the U.S) The question asked was "What are America's motives?" Who is better suited at addressing this issue, Obama or McCain, and what is it about their foreign policies that will better address this issue? source: http://www.acq.osd.mil/dsb/reports/2008-01-Strategic_Communication.pdf Here is the thing, it has been the policies of the U.S. that has created resentment and hatred toward the U.S. throughout the last several decades, starting in 1953 with "Operation Ajax" in Iran. As long as we continue to implement certain foreign policies that create fear and resentment by overthrowing governments and intruding into other state's governments, we will always have a terrorist problem. The average American is sadly misinformed or not informed at all when it comes to this subject. I thought that people would look further into the question, and see it for what it really was: addressing the issue of U.S. foreign policy. The Department of Defense and the Defense Science board both have websites that have numerous reports that are available for the public to read at your leisure. But, sadly, uninformed voters are happy to believe what they want, despite having real details regarding the issues readily available to them.
